Wood Elf Design Study by Morpheus306 Wood Elf Design Study by Morpheus306
This was something I did for fun, just some design practice.  I wanted a wood elf that uses a bow and has a bird.  What I did was make a manikin and then just "dressed" it.  The top row I was exploring different idea's and themes, the bottom I went with a more woodsy feel in terms of color.  I tried to incorporate pieces of wood for his armor, you know one with nature and all.  These were done in Flash and then put together in Photoshop, enjoy!

You could totally sell or trade these as adopts. I know that I'd want one. These are excellent.

You could sell, trade, give away or offer up in exchange for a good story of or artwork of, a character. People will then be able to use this character as their own, though you can have restrictions. Typically, adopts are done in batches, like this. You'd have the same base, but the colors and designs would differ, and people would "adopt" the one that they want. If you don't plan on using some of these designs, it is a great way for roleplayers or people who are not as talented (Or people who just wish that they had come up with the design) to obtain a character design they would not have been capable of making otherwise.

So in other words, it's a way for people to get designs for free?

No, they are often sold. There are free options, but better artists such as yourself can often make some money off of them. It's primarily for those who lack the skill or talent to make their own designs. We could tell them to work on them, but they don't need a picture of their roleplay or story character three years from now, if they work hard. They need it now. And frustrating themselves with a pencil will not help.
