Well I knew I could do a better version and alas, here it is. It's amazing how drastically your art can change in just a matter of months. I'll of course be doing more updates of the rest when I find time. Oh and feel free to ask me about drawing techiniques, I'm always interested in shareing what I've learned. Enjoy!

I'll answer yours and Ranshii's question at the same time. I alway start out with a thumbnail sketch, or a very small picture so I can get a sense of what I want to achieve. Once I get something I like I'll blow it up and work on nailing the forms of the body and making sure the perspective is working. Then I'll flush out the details like the eyes, fingers, feet, cloak, etc. I'll usually work pretty rough in that stage, it's not until the end will I work very tight for line clean up. Lately I've been using just a black col-erase colored pencil then doing the line wieghts with a mechanical pencil. Then it's into PS to add color, which is done is layers for better control...and there you have it! All in all this took about 3 hours from sketch to final color.
